WADF visits Andersen during Cope North
Lt. Gen. Yoshinari Marumo, Western Air Self- Defense Force commander, greets deployed Airmen from the 2nd Bomb Wing, Barksdale Air Force Base, LA, on the airfield during a tour of the base Feb. 19, 2015, at Andersen AFB, Guam. The Japan Air Self-Defense Force has eight Mitsubishi F-2s, six F-15 eagles, two E-2 Hawkeyes, 1 U-125, 2 Boeing KC-767s and one C-130 Hercules, deployed here in support of Cope North 2015, a multilateral training exercise which is a long-standing, multinational event designed to increase interoperability and improve combat readiness and develop a synergistic disaster response capability between the countries involved.
