Andersen ‘birdbath’ projected to cut maintenance cost, man-hours
Contractors dig on the Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, flightline Sept. 5, 2013, as part of the Guam Strike Clear Water Rinse Facility construction project. The automated clear water rinse will reduce maintenance man-hours by removing salt and other corrosive residues that accumulate on airframes while flying over the ocean.
