Air Force prepared to assist
ANDERSEN AFB,GUAM -- Just under 50 members of the 36th Contingency Response Group settled into their seats in a crowded cargo section of the C-17 Globemaster III aircraft. The personnel and equipment are heading to Thailand to stand ready to provide humanitarian aid to the people of Burma (Myanmar). Units of all branches of the military are standing by, for an offical request from the Burma (Myanmar) government, to render aid to a country and people ravaged by massive flooding from Cyclone Nargis.
