Andersen wheel, tire shop improves capabilities, minimizes time, money spent
Staff Sgt. Jan Stevens and Staff Sgt. Tyler Ambrose, both 36th Maintenance Squadron Wheel and Tire Shop specialists, test out the shop’s new universal adapters for the aircraft tire bead breaker on Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, April 11, 2013. The new tool allows the shop to fully accommodate tires for the B-52 Stratofortress and any other aircraft using Andersen’s flightline. Having the new equipment will save the Air Force roughly $32,000 annually. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt. Veronica McMahon/Released)
