Emergency Management Exercise
There will be a base-wide emergency management exercise on Monday March 31 between 8 a.m. and noon. All personnel on Andersen, to include active-duty members, tenant units, civilians, family members, contractors or any base visitors, are expected to comply with the directions given by emergency responders or facility managers and participate in the event as if it were actually occurring. Personnel traveling and conducting business on Andersen during the exercise can expect delays due to traffic stoppages and re-routing and temporary building closures. Please note, this exercise is not the same as the bi-monthly, week-long operational readiness exercise (ORE) conducted regularly at Andersen. An ORE focuses on increasing combat readiness and includes 36th Wing personnel as well as some affected military tenant units. An emergency management exercise, such as the one that will take place on the morning of March 31, is conducted so that ALL personnel on Andersen Air Force Base can practice peacetime emergency response. This includes all military personnel, civilians, contractors, family members and visitors. For more information, please contact your unit's Wing Inspection Team members or the 36th Wing Inspector General at 366-3088.
