Colonel David M. Galloway

COLONEL DAVID M. GALLOWAY
Col David M. Galloway serves as the Deputy Commander, 36th Wing, Andersen Air Force Base, Guam. He is responsible for the conduct of Indo-Pacific Command’s tanker task force, bomber task force, theater security packages, and contingency response operations from Andersen AFB. He is also tasked to ensure the successful employment, deployment, integration, and enabling of air and space forces from the most forward sovereign U.S. Air Force base in the Indo-Pacific Region. Here, he is responsible for the well-being of more than 8,000 military and civilian personnel on Andersen Air Force Base and supports Department of Defense installation management for Joint Region Marianas.
 
Col Galloway entered the Air Force in September 1996 as an enlisted member, commissioning through Officer Training School in September 2006. Since completing Air Battle Manager training in 2007, he has served in diverse leadership and staff roles across U.S. Indo-Pacific Command and the Continental United States, including tours as a USAF Weapons School Instructor, Asia-Pacific Strategy Fellow, and Chief of Contingency Planning for Pacific Air Forces. Prior to his current position, he was the Senior Military Assistant to the Under Secretary of War for Personnel and Readiness.
 
Col Galloway is a Master Air Battle Manager with more than 4,500 flight hours, including 1,186 combat hours in the E-3 and KC-135. He previously commanded the 552nd Operations Support Squadron at Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma, where he led 290 personnel, executed a $157M flying hour program, and benchmarked E-3G dynamic force employment in Eastern Europe.
