Airman dies on Guam

ANDERSEN AIR FORCE BASE, Guam – On Sept. 23, an active duty Airman temporarily assigned to Andersen AFB was found unresponsive at San Luis Beach located on Naval Base Guam and later pronounced dead at Naval Hospital Guam. The cause of death is under investigation. The member’s name will not be released until 24 hours after next-of-kin notification.

“It is the worst kind of tragedy when we lose a member of our Air Force family,” said Brig. Gen. Douglas Cox, 36th Wing commander. “Our condolences are with the immediate family and everyone affected by this loss.”
