Diary of a 'Loser'

Feb. 15, Thursday - Diet was good. No thanks to my teammates who had a HEAVY soul-food potluck at lunch. I was out at meetings all day-and they didn't even say anything until the end of the day when they offered me some macaroni and cheese. I would have put a stop to that one! (I took it anyways - for the kids, of course). Tomorrow the team is supposed to climb the wall so I took the kids to the CRFC to practice. Whew! This is going to be harder than I thought.

Feb. 16, Friday - As a part of PT my office climbed the wall at the CRFC. Now, I consider myself to be in pretty good shape. I scored an 'Excellent' on my last PT test, but that wall was HARD!!! I managed to climb 75 feet, which I thought was good, until I heard someone climbed more than 400 feet (WOW!). I had no idea I should have kept going. Needless to say, our team didn't win that event. We had fruit and English muffins for breakfast in the office. Time to regroup. I am holding at 147.

Feb. 17, Saturday - Nothing special to report, diet wise. I went to Sam Choy's for dinner, but I remembered portion control and I ate lots of fish! OK I did have a piece of cake, but that's why I went to the gym to burn those extra 200 calories (smile). I did take off the frosting - it wasn't buttercream ... gotta make sacrifices.

Feb. 18, Sunday - The rule today: No fried foods! I didn't go to the gym today, but after church I did spend time cleaning house and doing laundry - I know I burned calories.

Feb. 19, Monday - I ran for one hour today - it felt great! My daughter rode her bike along side me so we were able to share some "mom and daughter" time. I had an Isopure protein shake with blueberries and strawberries (taste good). I set my watch today to make sure I ate every three hours - it's hard to keep a schedule on days off. Believe it or not, I broke 146!

Feb. 20, Tuesday - I didn't eat my breakfast today. I only snacked and by lunch time I was starving. Fortunately or unfortunately, I had an appointment at the Navy hospital and I helped myself to half a strawberry shake, some small fries and three bites of a Quarter Pounder WITH cheese. At least I portioned it out (ha ha ha). I recovered with a light dinner from Subway - Thanks, Jacob!
