Staff Sgt. Michael Evans, 36th Wing ground technician safety, was awarded Team Andersen's Best July 19.

"Sergeant Evans has been an integral part of a team that has been manned at 50 percent for the last year," said Tech. Sgt. Carlos Rogers, 36th Wing ground safety manager and Sergeant Evans's supervisor. "He single-handedly conducted 80 spot inspections, 16 unit annual inspections and processed 35 ground safety reports."

With diligence and dedication to duty, Sergeant Evans instilled a culture so rich in safety that there have been zero fatal ground mishaps during his tenure.

"In addition to performing his duties above and beyond, Sergeant Evans completed his bachelors' degree and also scored over a 90 percent on his PT test" said Sergeant Rogers.

Andersen's Best is a recognition program which highlights a top performer from the 36th Wing. Each week, supervisors nominate a member of their team for outstanding performance and the wing commander presents the selected Airman/civilian with an award.
