554th RHS to conduct scheduled maintenance, construction projects

  • Published

Personnel from the 554th Rapid Engineer Deployable Heavy Operational Repair Squadron Engineers (RED HORSE) squadron, stationed at Anderson AFB, Guam, will begin repairs and construction projects at multiple bases throughout Korea in late January.

RED HORSE squadrons are the United States Air Force's heavy-construction units. Along with local U.S. Air Force civil engineer assets, the unit will conduct regularly scheduled infrastructure maintenance and construction to maintain mission requirements. The squadron is scheduled to be in place for several months.

The 554th RED HORSE Squadron was once based at Osan AB, Korea, and permanently moved in 2008 to join the 36th Contingency Response Group, 36th Wing on Andersen.
