Results of Monitoring Data for Unregulated Contaminants
of the Andersen Air Force Base Water System
Our water system has been sampled for the unregulated contaminants PFOS (Perfluorooctane sulfonate) and PFOA (Perfluorooctanoic acid). Unregulated contaminants are those that do not have a drinking water standard set by the EPA. The purpose of monitoring for these contaminants is to help the EPA determine whether or not a standard should be established. As our customers, you have a right to know that this data is available. Neither PFOS nor PFOA were detected in any of the samples taken from our water system.
