36th Contracting Squadron

To "Provide swift, responsive contract support for Team Andersen". The squadron is comprised of 47 military and civilian members responsible for providing Andersen Air Force Base with comprehensive acquisition support through the issuance of construction, service, and supply contracts valued in excess of $114 million annually. The 36th Contracting Squadron oversees purchasing activities for an array of customers to include Air Force, NAVFAC, and Joint Region Marianas in support of acquisition efforts on Guam and throughout the Southwest Pacific region. In addition, the unit plans, formulates acquisition strategies, and executes contracting actions in support of peacetime, contingency, and wartime operations.

In addition to the 36th Wing, the unit plans and executes contracting action on behalf of Air Mobility Command, Air Force Space Command, U.S. Navy, DoDEA schools and the Defense Commissary Agency. The squadron oversees Air Force purchasing activities in Singapore and Diego Garcia, Coordinates Air Force, NAVFAC, FISC and Joint Region Marianas acquisition efforts on Guam, and supports contingencies worldwide as well as combined/joint exercises in Thailand, Cambodia, the Philippines and Australia.
