ANDERSEN AIR FORCE BASE, Guam - With an Operational Readiness Inspection rapidly approaching, the 36th Wing participated in a wing-wide Ability to Survive and Operate "Rodeo" here March 30, 2010. The training differed from previous rodeos in that it was not set up in a circuit format. Instead, both chalks were divided down into approximately five groups. Each group was assigned a sector which included a tent, water supply and some sort of vehicle. Once split into the groups all the sectors had to respond simultaneously and accordingly to the scenarios as they were inserted into the scenario. Areas of focus ranged from decontamination, transition points, chemical gear wear check, self-aid and buddy care, unexploded ordnance, land-mobile radio, and also M-16. Throughout the rodeo exercise evaluation team members graded the participants on every aspect of their performance. (U.S. Air Force photos by Airman 1st Class Julian North)
