ANDERSEN AIR FORCE BASE, Guam – Munitions from a B-52 Bomber from the 69th Expeditionary Bomber Squadron strike the de-commissioned USS Coronado that is floating the in the Western Pacific as part of Valiant Shield 2012 on Sept. 12. A live-fire event during VS12 sank the ex-Coronado providing an opportunity for active duty units to gain proficiency in tactics, targeting and live firing practice against a surface target and enhancing combat readiness of deployed units.
