Active duty service members, did you know that while you are on vacation or temporarily assigned or deployed (TAD) anywhere in the world and require urgent/emergent medical or dental care you can use ISOS?

ISOS is a worldwide medical assistance company that TRICARE has teamed up with to provide a network of providers and facilities overseas. They have providers that will assist with medical advice and referrals. Whether you have a question about a minor injury or find yourself in a life threatening emergency, ISOS will make sure you get the appropriate help - whether it's around the corner or around the globe. Whatever it takes, they're only a phone call can even call collect! This is a cashless and claimless service for you as an active duty member.

ISOS international staff of medical and security personnel, aviation specialists and trained operations coordinators will provide the care you need for any problem you may encounter while traveling. ISOS will provide air evacuation if necessary to transport you to the nearest medical facility for treatment. As an active duty service member if you are planning on traveling overseas, you can rely on ISOS for all your urgent and emergent care while traveling. ISOS can assist you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. By contacting ISOS before receiving care, or as soon as possible for emergent care, you can find a qualified health care provider, avoid paying up front for care and avoid filing claims. Otherwise, you can expect to pay the provider at the time of service and file a claim for reimbursement at a later date.

For medical, dental, urgent or emergent care overseas 24 hours per day, 7 days a week, call (IDD) + 65-6-338-9277 (IDD is the international direct dial code, if you do not know the IDD, call the international operator to request a collect call and give them the ISOS number). If you are in Japan, you can call toll free: 005-316-50291, or if you are in Korea, you can call toll free: 007-986-517-342.

If you are planning on traveling to WESTPAC countries, please stop by your nearest TRICARE Service center for additional information on ISOS and to pick up a Travel Card.
