Andersen's Skyline Flight Kitchen has recently changed locations, moving closer to the flightline to better serve its customers. It is now fully operational.

The flight kitchen relocated next to the 734th Air Mobility Squadron passenger terminal April 29 in the space where Winchell's previously was located.

"The new [flight kitchen] location is awesome," said Staff Sgt. Eugene Villacorte, 506th Expeditionary Air Refueling Squadron crew communications specialist. "Going to pick up meals for everyone in our shop working on the flightline used to take anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour. Now it only takes 20 to 30 minutes."

According to Senior Airman Matthew Wilkerson, 36th Force Support Squadron food service specialist and flight kitchen staff member, the staff continued to take orders at its old location right up until the kitchen closed on April 29. After 6 a.m. the next day, all orders were picked up at the flight kitchen's new location.

The flight kitchen's new locale was under renovation for about a year, with the staff eager to work in the new environment.

"I like working in the new facility," Airman Wilkerson said. "I'm really happy about the move."
