The holiday season is traditionally meant for all to come together to strengthen and renew bonds with comrades and family members. With the holiday season steadily approaching, many find themselves pondering what to do to either spend time with their families here on island or their fellow Air Force family members.

The 36th Force Support Squadron offers some activities and deals for Team Andersen members to partake. For those planning a dinner party or any get-together, the outdoor recreational center offers a party pack for the price of $30. The pack includes a 20-foot by 20-foot canopy, 20 chairs, an ice chest, a water jug and two tables. Outdoor Recreation also offers bounce castles for $75 per weekend for children to enjoy and tents ranging in price from $8-12 for campers.

For those adventurers on Andersen AFB, there are numerous hikes planned for Dec. 5-19. Prices range from $5-15. And for divers, the Guam Tropical Dive Station has a few package deals available during the months of November and December. These deals include seriously discounted prices on their Response, Sprinta and Kinesis Packages, which include a mask, a snorkel, a fin set, a pair of boots, a bag and anti-fog.

The Coral Reel Fitness Center also offers a number of events during the season. For the runners, there will be a Turkey Day 5K Nov. 18, the Ho Ho Ho 5K Dec. 21, and a New Years 5K Jan 2.

Also, the fitness center will be hosting the Thanksgiving Turkey Varsity Basketball Shootout from Nov. 24-30, the Team Andersen Challenge Dec. 4 and the Sky-4-Life Basketball Exhibition on Nov. 23 as well.

The HotSpot holds numerous activities during the holiday season. The Andersen Tree Lighting Ceremony will be held Dec. 3 at Arc Light Memorial Park. There also will be an office, dorm and housing door decorating contest to be judged Dec. 18. The holiday season closes with Tops in Blue performance Jan. 2. Volunteers will be needed for set-up/tear down.
