Staff Sgt. Amory Santos, 36th Communications Squadron quality assurance evaluator, was awarded Team Andersen's Best here Oct. 25.

"Sergeant Santos inspected an $18,000 storage facility communications install, ensuring reliable command and control capabilities for approximately 70 warfighters," said Master Sgt. Kelly Meinzer, 36th CS section chief.

In three weeks, Sergeant Santos cleared a six-year backlog by performing 89 inspections. He crafted the squadron's self-inspection program checklist, which guides 21 work centers on approximately 2,500 inspection items.

Sergeant Santos frequently volunteers and loves to spend time with his wife and daughter. In the work place, Sergeant Santos is described as a dedicated worker, who leads by example.

Team Andersen's Best is a recognition program which highlights a top performer from the 36th Wing. Each week, supervisors nominate a member of their team for outstanding performance and the wing commander presents the selected Airman or civilian with an award.
