ANDERSEN AIR FORCE BASE, Guam - Senior Airman James Lowery, and Senior Airman Louie E. Gaitan, 36th Expeditionary Aircraft Maintenance Squadron weapons load crew members, open a B-2 Spirit weapons bay door before loading the aircraft with munitions. 434th Air Refueling Wing completes Andersen deployment
Senior Airman David Engelhardt, crew chief pre-flights a KC-135R Stratotanker April 29 at Andersen Air Force Base, Guam. The 434th Air Refueling Wing from Grissom Air Reserve Base, Indiana recently completed a deployment to Andersen in support of Pacific Refueling Operations. During the 120 day deployment they accomplished 162 missions, flew 654 hours, off loaded over 8.2 million pounds of fuel with an overall mission capability rate of 96.2 percent. The 452nd Air Mobility Wing, March Air Reserve Base, Calif., will take over Andersen refueling operations.

90th Fighter Squadron completes deployment
An F-22 Raptor from the 90th Fighter Squadron Elmendorf Air Force Base, Alaska flies over Guam for a training mission April 15. The 90th FS from Elmendorf Air Force Base, Alaska just completed a 3-month deployment to Andersen as part of a theater security package. These deployments are a prudent measure to maintain a credible deterrent posture and presence for the region and demonstrate a continued U.S. commitment to fulfilling security responsibilities throughout the Western Pacific.

90th Fighter Squadron completes deployment
F-22 Raptors from the 90th Fighter Squadron from Elmendorf Air Force Base, Alaska line the Andersen Air Force Base Guam flightline on April 15. The 90th FS from Elmendorf Air Force Base, Alaska just completed a 3-month deployment to Andersen as part of a theater security package. The stealth-fighters, along with associated maintenance and support personnel participated in various exercises that provided routine training in an environment different from their home station. The F-22 is a highly maneuverable combat aircraft that can avoid enemy detection, cruise at supersonic speeds, and provide the joint force commander an unprecedented level of integrated situational awareness.
