Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, is hosting an open house and air show Sept. 30, 2009. The Team Andersen Air Show '09 "Air Power over the Marianas" will feature performances by the Air Force Thunderbirds, the Pacific Air Forces F-16 Demonstration Team and the Pacific Air Forces C-17 Globemaster III Demonstration Team. With the theme "Air Power over the Marinas," the air show will showcase the Air Force's ability to fly, fight and win in air, space and cyberspace. 

The air show will also be an opportunity to demonstrate joint teamwork and other service capabilities on Guam.  The Navy, Marines, Army, Coast Guard, Guam National Guard and the U.S. Department of Agriculture are participating with ground demonstrations, static displays and other aerial participation.

0800: Air Show opens for on-base personnel and families 

0830 - 0900: 36th Security Forces Squadron Military Working Dog Demo
 
What: Defenders from the 36th SFS will demonstrate how their Military Working Dog partners aid them in deterring adversaries from resisting arrest. 

Where: At Ground Demonstration Area, near Hangar 1 

0830 - 0900: Chamorro Cultural Dance Performance 

Where: On Main Stage 

0900: Andersen Air Force Base's Main Gate Opens 

0915 - 0945: 36th Civil Engineer Squadron Explosive Ordnance Disposal
Demo 

What: Airmen from Andersen's EOD unit demonstrate equipment they use to disarm munitions and improvised explosive devices. 

Where: At EOD Static Display 

0915 - 0940: George Washington High School JROTC Rifle Team Demo 

What:
George Washington High School's Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps cadets demonstrate their precision military maneuvers on the drill pad. 

Where: At Main Stage 

0950: 36th Contingency Response Group and Naval Special Warfare Unit -1 Static Line Airdrop 

What: Airmen from the 36th CRG and Sailors from the NSWU-1 perform a joint parachute demo from an Air Force MC-130P Combat Shadow aircraft. 

1000: Official Start (at Main Stage)

1015: Naval Special Warfare Unit -1 High Altitude Low Opening (HALO) Demo 

What: Sailors from NSWU-1 demonstrate a high altitude parachute insertion opening their parachutes at low altitude to avoid detection. 

1020 - 1105: United States Department of Agriculture Brown Tree Snake Demo 

What:
Agents from the U.S.D.A. demonstrate how they detect and contain the Brown Tree Snake.

1100 - 1145: U.S. Band of the Pacific-Asia (Set 1) 

What: Performing hit songs from the 60's through the new millennium, Pacific Trends delivers top-quality Rock and Roll, R&B, Country music, and original arrangements. 

Where: At Main Stage

1135: 554th RED HORSE Squadron FAST ROPE Demo 

What: Airmen from the 554th RHS will fast rope from a Navy Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron-25 MH-60S Knighthawk helicopter.

1200: Pacific Air Forces F-16 Demo Team Aerial Demonstration 

What: Capt. Jeffrey Schneider, PACAF F-16 demo team pilot, will showcase the F-16 Falcon's world-renowned maneuverability.

1400: U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds Ground Ceremony (Enlistment Ceremony) 

What: Lt. Col. Greg Thomas, Thunderbird #1 Commander/Leader, enlists 31 graduates from Guam's high schools into the Air Force at showcenter. 

Where: At Thunderbird F-16s 

1430: Thunderbirds take off for aerial demo 

1500: Thunderbirds land / Autographs

What: Following their aerial demonstration, the Thunderbird pilots and maintenance team will sign autographs for air show attendees. 

Where: Near Showcenter, Thunderbirds will announce final location 

1600: Show Ends

All Day 

Vendors: Vendors will be available all day selling food, drinks and souvenirs for the public. Air show guests must exchange cash for tickets to purchase all items. Cash exchange booths are available near Entry Control Point 1 and Entry Control Point 2. 

Cash: An ATM is available in between Entry Control Points 2 and 3. 

Water: Water is available for free at two locations on the flightline. One location is near the E-3 AWACS aircraft. The other location is near the Ground Demonstration Area, near Hangar 1 and Entry Control Point 4. 

Smoking Area: Smoking is not permitted on the flightline, however a smoking area is available. The designated smoking area is located next to Entry Control Point 3. 

Medical: If medical attention is needed, a medical team is available near Entry Control Point 3. 

Information/Lost Child: The information and lost child area is located behind the KC-135 Stratotanker air refueling aircraft and the C-17 Globemaster III static display aircraft near Entry Control Point 2.
