Valiant Shield

ANDERSEN AFB, GUAM - Maj. Dave Jarmon, an instructor pilot with the 905th Air Refueling Squadron, New Hampshire Air National Guard, flies a KC-135 Stratotanker, during Valiant Shield, Aug. 9, 2007. During the exercise, U.S. Air Force aircraft and personnel from stateside bases and Kadena Air Base, Japan, work together as part of an expeditionary air wing based at Andersen AFB, Guam. Andersen AFB will also be the beddown location for approximately 64 U.S. Air Force and 29 U.S. Navy aircraft, plus transient aircraft, during Valiant Shield. Valiant Shield 07, the largest joint exercise in recent history, includes 30 ships, more than 280 aircraft and more than 20,000 service members from the Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force and Coast Guard.
