Members of the 36th Force Support Squadron have scheduled a Memorial Day Beach Bash open to all Team Andersen members from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. May 28 at Tarague Beach here.

The event features food and beverages for sale, music, games and sporting events as well as a bouncy castle, a sand castle competition and various activities throughout the afternoon.

For those wishing to swim, snorkel and enjoy fun in the sun on the beach, lifeguards will be on duty to ensure the beach is safe.

"Holding events such as the Memorial Day Beach Bash gives the military members and their families a chance to unwind and relax," said Tech. Sgt. Max Pontenila, 36th FSS NCO-in-charge of the HotSpot. "With the upcoming operational readiness exercises and inspection on the horizon, they are able to spend some much needed rest and relaxation time without having to think about the mission ahead of them."

During the festivities, attendees can participate in a raffle featuring many prizes, including a chance to win round-trip airfare provided by Delta Airlines to any location in Asia offered by the airline.

"The 36th Force Support Squadron always looks forward to giving back to our customers by hosting various base-wide events throughout the year, and our Memorial Day Beach Bash is no exception," said Ralph Ridgeway, 36th FSS chief of marketing.
