Staff Sgt. Alexandria Jones, 734th Air Mobility Squadron aircraft electrical and environmental system specialist, was awarded Team Andersen's Best here Oct. 18.

"Sergeant Jones provided critical maintenance support for 18 aircraft during Exercise Valiant Shield 2012," said Chief Master Sgt. Kenneth Gibson, 734th AMS maintenance superintendent and Sergeant Jones' supervisor. "Her tremendous efforts guaranteed the movement of 227 passengers and 119 tons of equipment, enabling an astonishing 96 percent departure reliability rate."

Along with her excellent work performance, Sergeant Jones is an avid Airmen Against Drunk Driving volunteer and was credited recently with providing career and life-saving options for six personnel.

"Sergeant Jones was also a volunteer for the 2012 AFB Open House," said Chief Gibson. "She provided transportation for handicapped individuals and their families."

Team Andersen's Best is a recognition program which highlights a top performer from the 36th Wing. Each week, supervisors nominate a member of their team for outstanding performance and the wing commander presents the selected Airman/civilian with an award.

To nominate your Airmen/civilian for Team Andersen's Best, contact your unit chief or superintendent explaining their accomplishments.
